Welcome to Skookum ‘Skookum’ comes from Chinook Jargon, a historic trade language used in the Pacific Northwest. The word usually describes something of excellent quality or robust power according to Merriam-Webster. It is also the name of our boilerplate theme for WordPress – a starting point for most all of our site builds. This theme is indeed very powerful and contains many custom components and only the crucial blocks native to WordPress’ Gutenberg. The functional design of this theme is intended to be broad and act as a starting point for any site build no matter the size, intention or longevity. Out of the box it is responsive, performant, fully accessible, and ready for content where SEO is maximized.
